Freedom At Last-Court Strikes Out Case Against Nnamdi Kanu Radio Biafra Director,

The embattled Director of Radio Biafra and Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has been discharged of all counts of criminal conspiracy and ownership of an unlawful society brought against him by the federal government by the Chief Magistrate Court, Wuse Zone 2, Abuja, on Wednesday.
After holding that the government had dropped the charges against Kanu, the judge ruled: “The accused person is hereby discharged and the case struck out.”

Governor Wike loses again at the Appeal Court

The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja has thrown out an appeal filed by governor  Nyesom Wike of Rivers state challenging the verdict of the Rivers tribunal that nullified his election.
Delivering the judgment, Justice M.B. Dongban-Mensem held that the election of Nyesom Wike did not conform with the electoral act.

Wike disagreed with the judgment,saying he would challenge the Appeal Court judgment at the Supreme Court

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, has instructed his lawyers to appeal the judgment of the Court of Appeal which ordered fresh governorship election in the State.
In a statement issued by Simeon Nwakaudu, Special Assistant to the Rivers State Governor on Electronic Media, Governor Wike disagreed with the judgment,saying he would exhaust his constitutional right by challenging the Appeal Court judgment at the Supreme Court.
Governor Wike called on all his supporters and the people of Rivers State to remain calm, saying justice will be done at the end of day.

Bode George deny collecting N100m from Bashir Yuguda


Following claims by former minister of Finance(state) that he gave N600million to the former Deputy National Chairman of Peoples Demcoratic Party, PDP, Chief Bode George,and 5 other members of the Contact and Mobilisation Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the 2015 general election ,the former has denied collecting N100 million from Mr Bashir Yuguda.The PDP leader, in a statement said:

 “My attention has been drawn to another mischievous and deliberately fraudulent claim that I collected N100 million from Bashir Yuguda, the former Minister of State for Finance. This is another blatant falsehood, stripped of any iota of truth.

DasukiGate! Ex-NSA insists he was acting on instruction of Jonathan



Former National Security Adviser (NSA) Sambo Dasuki decried being prosecuted ,saying he was only acting on the instructions of  former President Goodluck Jonathan.On his latest N10billion handout, he said he handed over the N10billion given to Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) nomination convention delegates to the former President's Special Assistant on Domestic Affairs, Waripamowei Dudafa and the Aide-de-Camp.

He said the money was given out by the two aides, on the directive of Dr. Jonathan.The former NSA said aside collecting the  cash, he had nothing to do with it.

Shiite Sect Claims Soldiers Deliberately Opened Fire on their members

it was reported on Saturday that the Chief of Army Staff, Lt-Gen. Tukur Buratai, reportedly escaped an assassination attempt after members of the Muslim sect, Shiites allegedly attacked his convoy in Zaria, Kaduna State.
However members of the Shiites Islamic Sect has released a press statement detailing the circumstances of the attack.
The sect claimed that the soldiers attacked first aiming to disrupt their peaceful flag hoisting.
The statement which was signed by Ibrahim Usman read “At noon today, armed soldiers were seen in the precincts of Hussainiyyah Baqiyyatullah, Zaria, where members of the Islamic Movement were to carry out the hoisting of flag to usher in the new month of Maulud, the birth of the Holy Prophet of Islam.
“Similar occasion was previously carried out on the same spot with free traffic flow under the supervision of the Movement’s traffic warders.

28 yr Old Man arrested after entering Lagos purposely to steal for Christmas celebrations

A 28-yr-old man has reportedly confessed after his arrest, to travelling from Abuja to Lagos for the sole purpose of stealing, before heading home for the festivities.
Ikechukwu Godspower, has according to reports, been sentenced to 6 months in jail with the option of community service for 72 hours in and around the court premises.
Godspower was arrested for committing a felony by the police and had reportedly confessed to coming from Abuja to Lagos so he could steal to celebrate Christmas back home in the village, reported to be in the south south region of Nigeria.

PDP will support the federal government in the war against Terrorism

The opposistion party Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has promised to back President Muhammadu Buhari-led All Progressives Congress government in his fight against terrorism.
According to a report by Punch Newspapers, the party's National Publicity Secretary, Olisa Metuh, stressed that if Buhari fails to meet the December 31, 2015 deadline to end insurgency in the country, the party would not criticise his efforts.
In the words of Metuh, “APC had promised that they were going to end insurgency in two weeks, they later said it will be over in two months and after that they now gave December 31 deadline to end Boko Haram

The ruling All Progressive Congress still unsettled in Kogi State after the demise of the late Gubernatorial Candidate Audu Abubakar. The party leaders from Kogi East after a crucial meeting at Ayangba rejected the decision of the party’s national working committee to nominate Alhaji Yahaya Bello as a replacement for the late Alhaji Abubakar Audu.
Prof. Isah Daniel, Vice-Chairman of the party in the zone, told newsmen at the end of the meeting that the Audu/Faleke ticket ``won the Nov. 21 governorship election with or without the result of the supplementary election.
``More than 6,000 votes scored during supplementary election are not enough to deny Audu/Faleke ticket; the mandate freely given to them before the election was declared inconclusive.
``All stakeholders and party loyalists from the nine local government areas in Igala land have, therefore, resolved to stand on Audu/Faleke.’’
