Nigerian men defraud American Lover of N52.5m
The Special Fraud Unit of the Nigeria
Police Force, Ikoyi, Lagos, has arrested a 29-year-old man, Henry Ogu,
for allegedly defrauding an American citizen (name withheld) of N52.5m
($350000).
His accomplice, 42-year-old Yunusa Okonkwo, was also arrested in connection with the fraud.
A statement by the SFU Police Public
Relations Officer DSP Ngozi Isintume-Agu, said the unit had received a
petition via email from Ogu’s victims.
It read, “The victim, a US citizen
resident in New Jersey, alleged that sometime in April 2013, she met Ogu
on a dating site and both started a relationship which lasted for
months until the suspect manipulated and made her to believe that he was
in financial trouble in Nigeria.
“She further stated that she sent
$350,000.00 to the two account numbers that Ogu provided. The account
numbers were Skye Bank Account Number 36204796 and Ecobank account No.
04087350 belonging to Faneece Business Services International.”

#BringBackOurGirls ! Nigerian Mothers protests in Abuja over Missing school girls
Nigerian protesters marched on the National Assembly today Wednesday to
demand the government and military do more to rescue scores of
schoolgirls kidnapped by Boko Haram gunmen at Government Girls Secondary
School, in Chibok,Borno State, more than two weeks ago.Dubbed “a million woman march” and promoted on Twitter under #BringBackOurGirls, the protest was not expected to draw a massive crowd and turn-out was hindered by heavy rain in the capital Abuja.
But several hundred women and men, mostly dressed in red, marched through the rain towards the National Assembly carrying placards that read “Find Our Daughters.”
57yr old Vice Principal raped 12yr Old Pupil in Ekiti
The police in Ekiti State have arrested a
57-year-old Vice-Principal of St. Mary Girls College, Ikole Ekiti, Mr.
Ayo Ajayi, for allegedly raping a 12-year-old pupil of the school inside
his office.
Our correspondent gathered that the pupil
had gone to the office of the vice-principal on March 18 and she did
not come out as quickly as expected. This was said to have fueled the
suspicion of some teachers.
One of the teachers, who reported the
case to the police, was said to have moved closer to the door to open

I just pray this is not real but according to the Dailytrust Newspaper Most of the 234 Borno school girls in Boko Haram captivity have allegedly been ferried to Chad and Cameroon after they were married off to sect members for N2,000/$13 bride price each.

The female students were taken from their hostels at the Government Girls Secondary School Chibok on the night of April 14. About 40 had escaped in the days after the incident, but parents and school authorities said at least 234 of them were yet to be found.
Dr. Pogu Chibok, who is the leader of the Chibok Elders Forum, told Daily Trust yesterday that latest
information available to them indicates that most of the girls have been taken to the neighboring Cameroon and Chad by their captors.

#FreeOurGirls! Women to stage 1million March protest in Abuja for the release of the abducted Girls
To all the mothers both in nigeria and around the world has been calling on all the Arms of the security forces for the release of the abducted chibok girls and in other to make it real Nigerian women would on Wednesday April 30th
in Abuja stage a one-million-women march tagged "Free our girls" to
press for the release of the schoolgirls that were abducted from Girls
Government college in Chibok, Borno state on Monday April 14th.
The call for the protest was made during an emergency
meeting put together by the Borno state first lady, Hajia Nana Kashim
Shettima, yesterday. Coordinator of the protest Prof. Hauwa Abdu Biu
said the march is expected to involve every woman in the
country.
"The last time, we were in black but this time around the colour for the Abuja rally is red; so we should all be prepared and mobilize ourselves for the rally”, she said

Ribadu probed Obasanjo and his Late Wife
Sometimes we judge based on our perception as at what is happening at the moment, sometimes we believe some people are unquestionable while we don't know they are also submissive to some forces that surround them. Imagine former EFCC chairman Malam Nuhu Ribadu whom his office was single-handedly created by Chief Olusegun Obasanjo can still query his boss.
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has
said that the pioneer Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes
Commission, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, investigated him and his late wife,
Stella, even when he was in charge as the nation’s leader.
Obasanjo, whose administration created
the anti-graft agency, also alleged that the manner Ribadu carried out
the war against corruption created enemies for him (Obasanjo).
He made the claims after the former
EFCC boss presented a paper titled, “Illicit Financial Flow and
Governance of Natural Resources,” at the 3rd Tana High Level Forum on
Security in Africa in Badir Dar, Ethiopia at the weekend.
The former President said that rather
than being afraid of the enemies Ribadu created for him, “it is rather
them that fear me.”Obasanjo, who acknowledged that the fight against
corruption “comes with enemies,” did not tell the audience about the
outcome of the investigations against him, Stella, and his close
associates. He also did not name the enemies that Ribadu created for
him.

South Korean Prime Minister resigns over drowned Ferry
South Korean Prime Minister Chung Hong-won has offered his
resignation amid criticism of the government’s handling of the sinking
of a passenger ferry.In a statement, a sombre Mr Chung said the “cries of the families of those missing still keep me up at night”.
The Sewol ferry with 476 people on board – most of them students and teachers – sank off South Korea on 16 April.
Officials have confirmed 187 died, but scores are missing presumed drowned.
Furious relatives have repeatedly criticised what they see as the slowness of the recovery operation.
