Gbam! South African Pastor asks his Congregation to drink Petrol

A controversial South African pastor, infamous for making his congregation eat grass, has struck again, this time encouraging members of his church to drink the petrol that he miraculously turned into pineapple juice.
Pastor Lesego Daniel of Rabboni Centre Ministries is on a YouTube video that starts with a cautionary note, "Warning, the level of the anointing is not the same, if you cannot turn water into wine, please do not try this."
The clip starts with a demo on faith where Luke 1:37, that says nothing is impossible with God, is quoted. In the demo, a match is used to show that the fluid filling a bowl is really petrol.  After the demo members of Daniel’s congregation are seen drinking what he claims is petrol, saying it tastes as sweet as pineapple juice and Iron Brew.

Boko Haram kills dozens in Borno Market

Dozens of traders at a rural market in Borno State may have been killed and several others injured during an attack by Boko Haram members yesterday afternoon, eyewitnesses and security operatives have said.
.Gunmen in Borno, in their dozens attacked Mainok Village market, which is about 60km away from Maiduguri, at exactly 1:30pm. The attack seemed to be a desperate quest by the insurgents to get food and related consumables, as they were said to have carted away food items and money from the traders.
Mainok Village, which is in Kaga local government area of Borno State, has suffered several attacks, especially by Boko Haram gunmen who normally attack it on market days.
A traveller, Alloy Ikechukwu, who witnessed the incident told newsmen in Maiduguri that the gunmen commenced their attack on the market as the luxury bus he was travelling in from Lagos was passing through the village.

Another Church Building collapse in Edo state

A Church building in Edo State has collapsed. The building owned by Christ Chosen Church of God, located in Egor, collapsed yesterday 19^th of September, 2014.

According to eyewitnesses, the building is an old residential building in the church premises, which workers were asked to demolish before collapsing on them and killing three.

Nigerian military kills over 150 Boko Haram in Konduga

At least 150 Boko Haram members were killed yesterday September 12th after the Nigerian Military repeled after an attempted attack by the sect members on Konduga, a village said to be about 35 kilometres from Maiduguri in Borno State, in the early hours of yesterday.

According to a statement issued in Abuja yesterday by Col. T. Antigha of the Army Public Relations, the battle with sect members lasted three hour and four soldiers were injured during the attack. 

"At about 5.30 am today (Friday), Boko Haram terrorists launched a massive attack on Konduga town, about 35 kilometres from Maiduguri. After about three hours of fierce fighting, Nigerian troops routed the Boko Haram fighting force of over a hundred terrorists. Further to the staggering loss of men, Boko Haram also suffered extensive losses in equipment. Four Nigerian soldiers were wounded in action. The entire area is still being combed for terrorists who may have escaped with bullet wounds. Morale of troops remains very high.” the statement reads.

The Nigerian Army also said that photographs taken from the scene of the attack will be circulated once they finish processing them

Police arrests 19yr Old Man for making love with Dog in Edo State

The 19yr Old man, identified simply as Osagiator, was said to have taken the dog to an uncompleted building where he had sex with it.‎
A resident in the community, George Ogbonmwan, while narrating how the teenager was caught, said he had saw the suspect with the dog and had thought that he wanted to steal it.

He added that he decided to call the attention of the owner, Garuba Samari.‎

“When I saw the way the young man carried the dog like a baby, I decided to tell the owner. We went to the uncompleted building and caught the boy sleeping with the dog,” ‎

Commercial sex workers, otherwise known as prostitutes in Nigeria have sent out strong warnings to its members across the country to be careful of the deadly Ebola disease.
The group, operating under the aegis of Association of Nigerian Prostitutes, ANP, handed this warning after a meeting held in Lagos on Monday.
Some of its leaders who met in the state had in a statement warned its members to be well protected in the cause of doing their business to avoid contacting the deadly disease.
According to the statement, “Some of us met yesterday in Lagos to discuss on how to sensitize our members against the disease and we are calling on them to be very careful, if possible ‘hang boot’ for now till the federal government finds a lasting solution to the killer virus.

Osun Election: You Killed my mentor-Lagbaja Blasts Omisore

The Legend Lagbaja( Omo Baba Mukomoko) over the weekend reportedly turned down an offer by the Iyiola Omisore Campaign Organisation to perform at the grand finale rally & reception for Pres. Jonathan scheduled to hold in Osogbo, Osun State, this week.

According to The Nation, Lagbaja was approached to entertain supporters of Omisore, the candidate of PDP in the up-coming governorship election in Osun State, but he declined the offer, saying;

"Though the court of the land discharged and acquitted you (Omisore) in the murder case against the former Minister of Justice in Nigeria, the late Cicero of Esa-Oke & foremost nationalist, Chief Bola Ige, I have deep-rooted innermost conviction that you are culpable in the death of my mentor and benefactor. If you offer me all the allocation of Osun State during your four-year-tenure peradventure you win (which I seriously doubt), I will not perform for Iyiola Omisore governorship election.”

Police arrests 3 Bank Fraudsters in Lagos

 

As reported by Punch, the police said the suspects usually obtained the cheques from people who are experts in stealing cheque books from unsuspecting people, then they will present the cheques to their insider in the bank, who will dubiously verify the account holder and the signature before the money could be paid out.

The men were arrested at the Pipeline area of Abule-Egba, a suburb in Lagos following a tip off. While Oyedepo Adesola and Kola Ademola were arrested on Wednesday, July 23,  Kola Osho was arrested the following day July 24th. They were found with two dud cheques belonging to a commercial bank, and some forged letter-head documents bearing ‘Ministry of Finance & Economic Development'.

In his confessional statement, 57 year old Osho who hails from Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, said his desire to pursue a better life abroad made him get involved in the criminal act of bank fraud.

NSCDC unveils another Baby-Factory in Abia State

  Abia State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps,Abia State Command NSCDC have rescued over 20 young pregnant women in a baby factory it discovered at Umunkpeyi in Isiala Ngwa South LGA, following a tip off.

Parading the rescued women and some of the workers in the baby factory, the state commandant of NSCDC, Andy Dateer, said the baby factory is named Nma Charity and Motherless Babies’ Home,  and that the owner who is now at-large, brings in men to impregnate the girls. He said after delivery, the babies are sold, and the mothers paid peanuts.

He said three children under the age of two, who were being prepared for sale, were rescued while four ‘social workers’ and four men were arrested in the raid.

How RCCG Pastor was killed and Butchered by Boko Haram in Borno

A pastor with the Redeem Christian Church of God in Borno state, Pastor Taiwo Dokun was shot dead and butchered by Boko Haram men during the Monday July 14th attack on Dille village in Askira-Uba LGA of Borno state. The late pastor's wife and three children are feared to have been taken by the sect men who reportedly abducted some people on the day of the attack.

A resident of the village, Jacob Mamza, gave an account of how the pastor was killed to Vanguard;

"The pastor was in his house at about 6am when the insurgents attacked the village. His house was surrounded by the hoodlums and while attempting to run he was shot. Pastor Taiwo was running to a neighbour’s house and it was in the course of his fleeing that he was shot in the head and the chest and the insurgent equally came to butcher him to make sure that he was dead.” he said.

Boko Haram kills 21 in Damboa attack

Members of the deadliest sect on Friday attacked Damboa, Borno State, and killed 21 people.

The town was attacked over two weeks ago with many people, including members of the violent group, military and security personnel killed.

The attack has since left the town and about 50 other communities in the troubled state susceptible to terrorist attacks.

Attempts by the military to return to the town about a week ago were rebuffed by the insurgents who laid ambush to the town. This left the soldiers who were lucky to escape being killed to return to Maiduguri, the state capital.

But the insurgents again hit Damboa on Friday and killed many residents.

53yr Old Nigerian sentenced to 263yr Imprisonment for weapons,drug distribution and Money Laundering

53-year-old U.S-based Nigerian man has been sentenced to 263 years in prison for drugs and weapons distribution/sales and money laundering.

The man, Felix Okafor, who migrated to the U.S in 1981, was sentenced on April 10, 

Punch reports.

According to reports, Okafor purchased a convenience store in Benson, North Carolina, called “Flying Eagles Groceries,” which he ran himself. However, it was discovered that the store was just a cover-up for his illegal activities.

Residents became suspicious of Okafor over time, because he didn’t seem to care about his supposed business.

Fayose advocates return of former PDP leaders to win Ogun State

Ekiti State Governor-elect Mr. Ayodele Fayose, has said if the Peoples Democratic Party intends to win the governorship election in Ogun in 2015, efforts must be made to bring back some leaders who had left the party.

He gave this advice at the PDP state secretariat in Oke Mosan, Abeokuta, during a rally.

Fayose, who is now the leader of the party in the South-West, told party loyalists that “this is the time to reconcile all those who have left the party and bring them back to the fold.”

He said, “Since I arrived the state, I have visited some leaders and had a discussion with them. I have visited the former governor, Otunba Gbenga Daniel. I will meet Chief Jubril Martins-Kuye before I leave. We need to bring these leaders back to the party if we are serious about winning the governorship election.”

Boko Haram Leader claims responsibility of Lagos Fuel Tanker and Abuja Bomb blast

The leader of Nigeria’s Boko Haram Islamists Abubakar Shekau has claimed responsibility for the June 25 bombing in the capital Abuja and an attack the same day at a fuel depot in Lagos, in a new video seen by AFP Sunday.

The authorities tried to cover up the Lagos attack, describing it as an industrial accident, but an AFP investigation revealed it was a deliberate explosion.

“I ordered (the bomber) who went and detonated it,” Abubakar Shekau says of the Lagos bomb, while claiming responsibility for the “bomb in filthy Abuja” that killed at least 22 people.

BREAKING ! ASUP call off strike.Poly students to resumes on Tuesday

The Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics, ASUP, has suspended its 10-month old strike. The strike which started in October 2013 was suspended today Saturday July 12th the National Executive Council of the association.

Rising from a meeting this morning in Abuja, the ASUP NEC decided to suspend the strike which has seen polytechnic students stay at home in the last ten months.

The National Publicity Secretary of ASUP, Clement Chirman announced the suspension and also stated that academic activities would resume in all polytechnics nationwide from Tuesday July 15th. The ASUP leadership held what it termed a fruitful meeting with the newly sworn in Minister of Education, Ibrahim Shekarau on Thursday July 10th.
