OPEN UNIVERSITY does not Run Correspondence Course-Says VC

National Open University of Nigeria Graduated total number of 4,308(four thousand three hundred and eight) graduands yesterday 18th January 2014, at the National Theatre Iganmu Lagos.
Among the Dignitaries that attended the event are Prof Grace Awani Alele Williams who was honoured with(D.Sc Honouris Causa) also present is the Supervising Minister of Education and others.

The Vice-Chancellor of the University Prof Vincent Ado Tenebe in his message appeal to NYSC to do more in their effort and allow the student of the university partake in the NYSC Scheme, The VC in his own word said that the present practice of issuing letters of exemption to the graduands is not good enough.

The NOUN Boss also pointed out that the general public should be aware that NOUN does
not run correspondence courses neither did we run part time courses our programme is OPEN and Distance Learning where we produce quality course materials in print and electronic format.

Suffice to say without fear of contradiction that NOUN does not run correspondence courses in Law or in any other courses,Our Law students, like their counterparts in other courses, have physical contacts with their facilitators(Lecturers),
Among the graduands is middle aged prisoner, Tuwanse Kabiru who came in company of the prison officials was awarded a Bachelors degree (BA) in Human Resource Management. He is currently serving a life sentence at the Kirikiri Maximum Prisons Lagos, after being found guilty of murder.
