We need Political Soldiers to Challenge our Enemy-Kashamu

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the South-West, Prince Buruji Kashamu, yesterday labelled former Lagos State governor, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as the party’s number one enemy in the zone.
He said this while addressing members of the party during a congress held at the Le Chateau Hall, Bodija, Ibadan, Oyo State. the meeting was convened to take a stand on three key issues in the party.
While stating that he is one of the leaders of the party in South West, Kashamu stated that, for the party to reclaim the South West states from the opposition, they must
be ready to face their enemy.
He said, “As the chairman of the Organization and Mobilization Committee, I believe in myself that if we’re to win the South West, we need strong people, political soldiers that can mobilize and organize in order to challenge our enemy.
And who are our enemies, we all know that our number one enemy in South West is Bola Tinubu. “And when you’re not strong, tough and sure of yourself, you don’t have anywhere to go if you have to contend with people like him.
If we’re ready to work, I’m ready to go if you will stand by me. If you’re ready, let us start with Ekiti governorship election and make it a sample to them.”
Meanwhile, presiding on the three agenda, the chairman of the party in Ogun State and chairman of the Forum of chairmen in the South West, Mr. Bayo Dayo, led the proceeding as participants unanimously reaffirmed their support for the National Secretary of the party, Prof. Olawale Oladipo.
Also, the congress urged the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party to approve a date in January to organize its zonal congress while it also declared its support for the President, Dr Goodluck Jonathan and the National Chairman of the party, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur.
The meeting had in attendance all the state party chairmen except that of Ekiti State who was said to be in the entourage of the state’s governorship aspirants visit to President Goodluck Jonathan in Abuja.
In another development, the National Internal Auditor of the Party, Mr. Adewole Adeyanju, has allayed the fear of members of the party as related to the challenges being currently faced by the party, stating that the full machine of PDP will start to roll by end of the February.
He said, “between now and end of February, you will see the output of PDP machine. I want to tell you that everything has been put in place for the party to be strong again. PDP makes people, and so their leaving cannot rock our boat. The members of the party are the real owners of the party, by that time you will see a new PDP.”
