Zenith Bank MD picked to replace Mallam Sanusi

 

In less than 24hrs that the former CBN Gov Mallam Sanusi Lamido was sacked President Jonathan has picked the current Managing Director of Zenith Bank Godwin Emefiele to replace him as the new Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria. His name has been forwarded to the Senate for confirmation. 

Bayo Adelabu, the current Executive Director at First Bank as Deputy Governor of CBN, replacing Tunde Lemo.

Sanusi was removed just a few months to the end of his tenure. His tenure was supposed to end in June 2014. Sanusi said he will challenge the decision to suspend him but will not go back to the job
