OPEN UNIVERSITY Students protest hike in School Fee

noun student protestThe Benin study center of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) was held to ransom as students staged a huge demonstration to protest a sudden increase in their school fees.
The management of NOUN increased the tuition fees from N58, 000 to N115, 000 and this got the students angry as most of them said they cannot afford the new fee structure.
Massive protests has been going on in several tertiary institutions in Nigeria, like LASU, TASUED, and most recently OAU, over school fees increases.
It was revealed that students at the Lagos study center are organizing to commence protests as well even as the Benin campus protest rages on since yesterday.
Efforts to contact the management of NOUN over the issue proved abortive at the moment
