Boko Haram burn down villages, kill 68 in Borno state

Boko Haram insurgents...The dreaded islamic sect Boko Haram have killed 68 people in Njaba, Borno State, fleeing residents say.
The attackers are said to have shot some victims and slit the throats of others. They also burnt down the entire village.
Witnesses say that the terrorists attacked the village early on Tuesday, March 3, singled out boys and girls between the ages of 13 and 19 and killed them along with their parents.
“They shot dead anyone that tried to flee but spared children younger than 13 years old,” Karimu Lawani, a survivor told CNN.

“They hurled petrol bombs into homes and opened fire on anyone trying to flee. They particularly targeted teenagers and elderly people,” said 62-year-old Faltama Bisika, who lost four grandchildren in the attack.
“More than 60 people have been killed by the insurgents, they killed all our husbands and young boys,” a fleeing resident told Sahara Reporters.
Residents of the area also added that the corpses of the victims were left scattered in the village and that no military assistance had been rendered since the attack.
