Suicide bomber kills three near military checkpoint in Borno

The incident is said to have occurred at about 06:07 pm on Saturday, June 13, 2015, at a Civilian Joint Task Force checkpoint near Maiduguri, the state capital.
According to Sahara Reporters, the male bomber, rode on a bicycle to Bale village near Giwa Barracks and detonated the bomb at the check-point.

“A suicide bomber came on a bicycle about 06:07 pm before our men could realize who he was he blew up himself and killed three others,‎ so we have taken the injured ones to the hospital,” a source told SR.
Maiduguri has, in recent times, been the target of bomb attacks believed to be the work of terrorist sect, Boko Haram.
