Fayose again! Diapers-wearing old man surrounded by corrupt politician can't fight corruption

 Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has described claim by the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate that he will fight corruption if elected as president as the height of deceit, saying; "a diapers-wearing old man surrounded and being funded by notoriously corrupt people cannot fight corruption."

The governor, who said Buhari must first fight his own personal corruption and health issues before talking about fighting corruption in Nigeria, added that; "President Goodluck Jonathan is already fighting corruption by allowing rule of law to thrive, and this was acknowledged by the Transparency International (TI), which rated Nigeria as the 39th most corruption country in the world in 2014 as against the most corrupt country and second most corrupt country in the world that Nigeria was rated in 2001 and 2003 respectively."

25,000 Pastors and Evangelists hold prayers for Buhari in Lagos

At least 25,000 pastors and evangelists in the South-West are to hold a special prayer session for the presidential candidate of All Progressives Congress, #APC, Major-General Muhammadu Buhari, and his running mate, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, on Tuesday, at Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos.

Hoodlums attacked APC Senatorial Candidate In Kaduna, 16 Vehicles Destroyed

 
Some political thugs today attacked Ishaku Shekarau, the senatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in southern Kaduna zone of #Kaduna State. The attack took place at Fadan Kagoma in Jema'a local government area of the state, according to a statement released to reporters by Samuel Aruwan, a spokesman for the Kaduna State APC #campaign council in Kaduna.
The statement said heavily armed thugs attacked Mr. Shekarau and other APC officials as they arrived in Fadan Kagoma to attend the annual Gwong Day celebration. The attackers reportedly wielded dangerous weapons and chanted PDP slogans as they went after the APC officials and members at the venue of the celebration.

Boko Haram burn down villages, kill 68 in Borno state

The dreaded islamic sect Boko Haram have killed 68 people in Njaba, Borno State, fleeing residents say.
The attackers are said to have shot some victims and slit the throats of others. They also burnt down the entire village.
Witnesses say that the terrorists attacked the village early on Tuesday, March 3, singled out boys and girls between the ages of 13 and 19 and killed them along with their parents.
“They shot dead anyone that tried to flee but spared children younger than 13 years old,” Karimu Lawani, a survivor told CNN.

President Goodluck Jonathan has said that the leader of Boko Haram, Abubakar Shekau will be arrested before the upcoming general elections.

Jonathan also admitted that he underestimated the threat posed by Boko Haram.

The President stated this during an interview with ThisDay on Friday, February 20, in Lagos.

The agitation for the actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra has taken a new dimension with a new leader of the struggle, Mr. Nnamdi Kanu declaring his readiness to fight all the way.
He said Nigeria would seize to exist by December 2015.
Kanu, who spoke at a gathering of members of defunct Biafra, including scores of its aged war veterans, vowed that he would not rest until the Republic is realised.

The event, held at Ngwo, Enugu State, was the maiden commemoration of Biafran Day on May 30th, in remembrance of the events of 1967 when the late Igbo leader, Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu declared the Republic of Biafra.

SHOCK as Helicopter delivers Boko Haram apology letters in Adamawa

 

Residents of Adamawa State have received messages from repentant Boko Haram members via helicopter, reports say.

Pamphlets and flyers containing confessions and expressions of regret from the terrorists were dropped in some areas of the state at around 5am on Friday, February 20, ThisDay reports.

The repentant insurgents stated in the messages, which were written in English, Hausa and Arabic, that they had been brainwashed by some leaders of the sect leading them to loot communities and kill innocent Nigerians.

“People began to fear, so I immediately phoned the executive chairman of the council to intimate him, who also  confirmed from security  chiefs in Yola, saying  it was military helicopters spreading peace message to residents," a resident of Gombi, identified as Kabiru, said.

CAN collected N7bn not 6Bn to vote against Buhari-Pastor Musa Dikwa

 

A Borno-based Pastor Kallamu Musa-Dikwa, Executive Director, Voice of Northern Christian Movement, who spoke on phone from Borno Thursday said the alleged money given to pastors by the president was actually N7 billion and not N6 billion as alleged by governor Amaechi.

According to Vanguard,Dikwa, in Kaduna on Thursday said that the said money was channeled through the Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN.
He said:

“It was N7 billion that was given to the CAN leadership by President Goodluck Jonathan. CAN later disbursed N3 million naira to the State Chairmen of the CAN.
“The money was handed over to the CAN Leadership on 26th January, 2014.Actually President Jonathan is using CAN President, Pastor Ayo Oristejafor, and it was the CAN President that collected the monies and shared N3 million naira to the CAN executives in each State.And some Pentecostal Bishop including Bishop Oyedepo also collected his share. General Muhammadu Buhari has promised to publicly declare his assets if elected .He stated this in a document obtained by a Punch correspondent in Abuja on Thursday. The document highlights what Buhari will do in his first 100 days if he assumes power on May 29.

Pastor arrested with drugs worth N609m in Lagos

 

A resident pastor and senior prophet of the Eternal Sacred Order of Cherubim and Seraphim, Agodo-Egbe, Ikotun, Lagos State, Prophet Michael Raji, has been arrested by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), with illicit drugs worth N609 million.

Raji was banned at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, on an outward flight to South Africa.

The 60-year-old pastor, in his confession to officials of the NDLEA, said that he hid the drugs in his church for four months after he received it from a friend, while he prayed for his successful smuggling trip.

The seized drugs concealed inside large bags of foodstuff were found to contain 91kg of Methamphetamine and 83kg of Ephedrine with an estimated street value of N609 million.
