Nigerians Serving in Uk Prison rejects Transfer Agreement-Says Envoy
Dr Dalhatu Tafida, Nigeria’s High Commissioner to the UK, on Tuesday in London confirmed this in an interview with the Europe Correspondent of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
Tafida said that some of the prisoners have expressed concern over returning to the country to complete their terms, citing poor prison facilities and stigma as main reasons.

The policeman now identified as Corporal Aniyem Chiyem was heard in the video saying "Arrange dollars. Give us dollars".

28Year Old Undergraduate in EFCC Custody over &90,000 Romance Scam
An undergraduate of the University of Ibadan, 28-year- old Orowo Jesse Omokoh, has been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission for allegedly obtaining Ninety Thousand Dollars ($90,000.) from one Mrs. Jette Jacob, an Australian based in Johannesburg, South Africa, in what is known as a romance scam.
The suspect allegedly met the Aussie on a dating site and struck a sizzling romantic affair that necessitated him moving to Johannesburg in 2013 to link up with his lover.

Like
a recurring decimal, another policeman has been caught on video
demanding American dollars after apprehending a Nigerian-American and
two other Nigerians for alleged traffic offence(s).
A three-minute, 45-second footage
secretly filmed by one of the passengers detailing the encounter of the
trio, in the hands of the policeman, has become a sensation on YouTube
and other social networking sites.
One of the three, who later spoke in
Yoruba, was heard explaining to the policeman that one of them was
actually celebrating his birthday and that they were hurrying to catch
up with a friend. The incident, according to the description given on
YouTube, was said to have happened in the Egbeda area of Lagos.
“Arrange dollars. Give us dollars,” the
AK-47-wielding policeman, who was alone while the encounter lasted,
declared to a well-built passenger who had been making efforts to pacify
him.
The cop who was comfortably sitting at
the back seat of the car from where he negotiated the dollar-bribe
subsequently ordered the passenger back into the vehicle with a view to
kick-starting the negotiation.
The Nigerian-American quickly cut in to
explain that he wasn’t carrying any dollars on him and that he was only
on vacation in the country.

Sheikh Muh Albani Murdered in cold blood alongside Wife and Son by Gunmen
The cleric, identified as Sheikh Muhammed Albani had criticised the Islamic extremist group.The first attack happened when unidentified gunmen shot at Albani’s car at about 10:30 pm (2130 GMT) on Saturday in Zaria, as he drove home from teaching a theology class.
Local resident Mohammed Usman said Albani’s wife and son were immediately hit, while the gunmen appeared to have dragged the cleric from the car and shot him at close range.
“We kept hearing gunshots very close to our homes and later we heard the sound of a car retreating and when we later came to the scene we found Sheikh Albani lying outside the car with lots of bullet holes on him,” he added.
