Police Arrests 13yr Old Girl who was Wearing Explosive Vest in Kano
On searching her, Police discovered explosives hidden under her hijab. The police later revealed that the young girl was from Bauchi and was part of the 'suicide team' that attacked a market in Kano on Wednesday Dec. 10th.
Another Bomb Blast Averted at a Popular Eatery in Imo State
The police in Owerri, the Imo state capital successfully defused two Improvised Explosive device IED found at the lobby of a popular eatery on Wednesday December 10th.
Speaking
on the incident, the state's police commissioner, Abdulmajid Ali, said a
distress call was put across to the command by the manager of the
eatery and a bomb squad was immediately drafted to the scene where the
bomb was immediately defused. He appealed to members of the public to
always come forward with information whenever anything odd is noticed
"I
want to thank the Imolites(Imo state citizens) for given us this
information on time because if not it could have caused a lot of damage.
Only God knows how many lives would have been lost, the same thing with
property" he said.

Defence HeadQuarters Detain Aircraft Carrying Military Hardare at Kano Airport
Nigerian Defence headquarters have released a statement on their website confirming the seizure of a Russian cargo plane with registration number AN124100RA82038 conveying arms and ammunition from Bangui, Central African Republic, to Ndjamena, the capital city of Chad. The plane with seven crew members, was seized early yesterday morning Dec.6th at the Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport, after it landed at the airport to refuel. the Boko Haram attack at Ashaka town in Gombe state on Thursday December

Court Sentence Fake Soldier to 7yrs Imprisonment for Job Scam
Justice
P.I. Ajoku of the Federal High Court, Benin, Edo State yesterady convicted
and sentenced one Emmanuel Sunday (alias Umoh Sunday Iyang, Iyang Samuel
Chukwudi) to seven and half years imprisonment without an option of
fine for obtaining money under false pretense.
The
convict was arraigned by the Economic and Financial crimes Commission,
EFCC, on March 19, 2014 on an 8-count charge bordering on obtaining
money by false pretence. He pleaded not guilty to the count charge.
After
diligent prosecution, Justice Ajoku found him guilty on the 5-count
amended charge and sentenced him to thirty months imprisonment each of
the counts. The court also ordered that the convict forfeit his two (2)
phones to the Federal Government.
Nigerian Troops Clears Mubi of Boko Haram Insurgents
The Nigerian Troops have completed the operation to clear Mubi, Adamawa State of terrorists who had mischievously renamed the town ‘Madina’ and operated in the town and the environs. A mop-up operation is nevertheless ongoing to apprehend and deal with those who might be lurking around neighbouring communities.
Members of the terrorists group were dislodged after coordinated air and land operations in the area.More special troops are being deployed to other areas in the North-East axis in similar coordinated air and land operations to rid the communities of terrorists’ activities.

Govs Akpabio, Babangida, Yuguda Others Meets Obasanjo Over GEJ
Five Peoples Democratic Party governors
led by the Chairman, PDP Governors Forum, and governor, Akwa Ibom State,
Godswill Akpabio, on Thursday held a closed-door meeting, which lasted
for three hours, with the former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, in
his Hilltop residence in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Other governors on the trip are the
governors of Bauchi, Jigawa, Cross River, and Niger states, Isa Yuguda,
Sule Lamido, Liyel Imoke and Babangida Aliyu respectively.
The governors arrived Obasanjo’s residence around 12.30pm and emerged from the inner chamber at exactly 3.30pm.
