Rivers Police Disrupt APC Rally in Rivers State

Police Release Dr Sign Fireman on Bail

Fireman, who was arrested on Tuesday for conspiracy and murder, was said to have been released at about 6pm on Saturday.

Fireman, whose real name is Ofuche Ukoha, was arrested last Tuesday after an 18-year-old suspect, Ikechukwu Egbo, implicated him.

Egbo, who was arrested for raping and killing a 12-year-old girl, Bose Ogoja, in the Badagry area of the state, said he did so under the instruction of Fireman.

Soji Akinkurolere Survived Assasination Attempt in Ondo

An Ondo State House of Assembly member, Soji Akinkurolere, survived an assassination attempt on Monday January 6th at his home in Okitipupa in Ondo state thanks to one of his trusted aides.

According to Sahara Reporters Mr Akinkurolere's aide foiled the assassination attempt when 5 gunmen raided the lawmaker's private residence. Akinkurolere escaped with his family, without harm.
